1. Acceptance of Terms
By adding, using, accessing, or interacting with Epicurus ("the Bot"), you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with these terms, you must stop using Epicurus and remove it from any Discord server under your control.
2. Description of the Service
Epicurus is a Discord bot that provides server management, moderation, utility, and related features to Discord users and communities.
Features may include, but are not limited to:
- Moderation commands
- Ban and unban functionality
- Timeout functionality
- Member management
- Server configuration
- Verification systems
- Logging and moderation records
- Other utility features
Features may be added, modified, suspended, or removed at any time.
3. Discord Requirements
Epicurus operates through Discord and therefore requires users to comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Epicurus complies with all applicable Discord rules and policies.
4. Server Permissions
Epicurus may require certain Discord permissions in order to provide its features.
Server administrators are responsible for reviewing the permissions granted to the Bot and determining whether those permissions are appropriate for their server.
You should only grant Epicurus the permissions necessary for the features you intend to use.
5. User Responsibilities
Users and server administrators agree not to use Epicurus to:
- Break Discord's rules or policies.
- Facilitate harassment, abuse, or threats.
- Conduct illegal activities.
- Attempt to exploit or compromise the Bot.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Bot or its infrastructure.
- Abuse, overload, or disrupt the Bot's services.
- Use the Bot for malicious or fraudulent purposes.
6. Moderation Actions
Epicurus may provide tools capable of taking moderation actions such as bans, kicks, timeouts, role changes, or other server management actions.
Server administrators and moderators are solely responsible for how these tools are used within their communities.
Epicurus and its operators are not responsible for inappropriate or incorrect moderation decisions made by server staff.
7. Availability
Epicurus is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that the Bot will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Discord server configuration.
Maintenance, updates, technical problems, Discord API changes, hosting problems, or other circumstances may cause temporary or permanent interruptions.
8. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Epicurus at any time.
Changes may occur without prior notice when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, development, or compatibility.
9. Termination
Access to Epicurus may be restricted or terminated if the Bot is abused, exploited, used in violation of these Terms, or used in a manner that could harm the service or its users.
Server administrators may remove Epicurus from their Discord server at any time.
10. Disclaimer
Epicurus is an independent Discord application and is not operated, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Discord Inc.
Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operators and developers of Epicurus shall not be liable for losses, damages, data loss, server issues, moderation actions, service interruptions, or other consequences resulting from the use or inability to use Epicurus.
12. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed when material updates are made.
Continued use of Epicurus after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
